In 2018 he was yet again diagnosed with cancer; giving metastatic colon and brain cancer a run for their money. Nikk was a strong, courageous, funny young man who always had a smile or a laugh for you. He was a great son, brother, friend, and daddy Nikk.
He was predeceased by grandfather Kenneth Libbey, and grandmother Marice (Reed)Shorey

My heart was caught when I read you lost your precious son Nikk and I wanted to send my warmest condolences to the family. To lose a child, a part of you, can bring such overwhelming grief but God assures us at 2 Kings 20:5 He feels our pain and by a resurrection you will have Nikk in your life once again. Until God’s promises come true may every good thought, every memory of the love you felt, flood and overtake you with calm and peace to help you through the dark moments. Please go to for more encouraging scriptures and videos to help heal your broken heart 💔

My heartfelt condolences to Nikkolas’ family for your loss. There are no words to express the pain and sadness you are experiencing. I hope your memories will help you to endure the grief. Never forget the promise in John 5:28,29 where it promises that we will be reunited with our loved ones by means of an earthly resurrection. May the “God of All Comfort” be with you now and the difficult days to come. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)

Nikk and I had a tedious yet short acquaintance. We didn't always get along, but having known him has truly been an honour and a privilege. Knowing how much he loved and appreciated Amber, Austyn, Elly, and all his friends and family is enough to be sure of his kind heart, and unending love. Leslie and Wink, Amber and Austyn, I am so so sorry for your loss. Nikk has been in the prayers of everyone up here since his diagnosis, and we are so sad to hear of his passing.

While I knew Nikk, there was always an open invitation, and a spot on his couch to crash. We had many a drink, late nights, and dancing. Thanks a million from the Great White North, Nikk, for your friendship and your presence in my life
