Obituary for Sally J. Jacobs (Day)

Woodville – Sally Jacobs, 75, wife of the late Lloyd Jacobs, joined her husband in heaven on Thursday, November 7, 2018. She was born July 18, 1943 in Medway, the daughter of Llewellyn and Daisy (White) Day.
Sally lived her life for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Until her husband’s passing in 2017, you never saw one without the other. Sally assisted him when he was commander at the American Legion; they rode their Harley together, they shopped together, cooked together, and worked together. They started a School Bus business in the 1980’s, and did that for over 20 years. Sally truly enjoyed driving the kindergarten kids to school every day. Sally also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, especially making warm hats, mittens, and blankets for her family. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens, and loved watching the hummingbirds out her window. Sally was a sweet, caring woman who was loved by many.
She is survived by four children, Leonard Jacobs and his girlfriend Betsy, Audra Lynch and her husband Greg, Kay Rogerson and her husband Mike, and T.J. McNally and her husband Mike; four grandchildren, Charley Rae Romesburg and her husband Rich, Ryan Federico and his fiancé Morgan Tozier, Derrick Spaulding, and Shep Harriman; five great grandchildren, Richie, Noah, and Natalie Romesburg, and Jason and Nova Federico; five siblings, Hazel Beach, Everett Day, Millard Day, Gertrude McReavy and her husband Paul, and Morris Day and his wife Dottie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Sally was predeceased by a brother Walter Day, and a sister, Charlene Day.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 P.M. Thursday, November 15 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Friday, November 16 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 58 Cedar Street, East Millinocket with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Interment will be at the Woodville Cemetery.
