Howland - Jacqueline Y. Pelkey, 75, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020, after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born Jan 9, 1945 in Oso, Washington ,the daughter of Charles and Margaret Evans. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 49 years, Edward R Pelkey (in 2014) and brother Lyle Evans, also of Washington. Jackie is survived by a brother Larry Evans and his wife Bridgette of Darrington WA; her two daughters Rhodessa Morales of Converse, Texas and Andrea Daley and her husband Michael of Walpole, New Hampshire, and one son Charles Pelkey and his wife Jena of Hillsboro, NH. She leaves behind 8 well-loved grandchildren, Patrick and Phillip Lewis, Morgen Dugan, David Morales, Devon and Ethan Daley, and John and Brianna Pelkey. Jackie was very active in her local community and belonged to Beta Gamma Sorority. She was also a devoted parishioner of St Leo’s Catholic Church in Howland, serving on the choir and being a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She proudly owned and operated Johnson Florist in Lincoln for many years. Jackie’s greatest joys were traveling to visit her family and friends across the country. Her trips stretched from Washington, Arizona, and Texas to Germany, Austria and Belgium. A Mass of Christian Burial, and interment at St. Mathews Cemetery in Enfield, will be celebrated at a date to be announced in the springtime. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
