Holden and Millinocket – Heather W. Griffin, 52, lost her fight against Melanoma on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. She went to the Lord peacefully, surrounded by family at her home.
Heather is a 1984 graduate of Stearns High School in Millinocket. She was very active in school events and was voted Most School Spirited. Heather enjoyed hiking, yard sales, going to the beach, relaxing at camp, and spending time with friends and family.
In addition to her mother, Sally Ranger , Heather is survived by her husband, Peter Griffin; sons Jackson and Tyler Koch; stepdaughter, Emily Chandler; siblings Joel Ranger and his partner Ann Marie (Caruso) Hoffman, Heidi Lane and her husband Russ, Miles Ranger and his wife Natasha, and Amy Harriman and her husband Rick, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Heather was predeceased by her father, Gearry Ranger.
Memorial services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, October 27 at the Millinocket Baptist Church, 297 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket, with the Rev. Tim Bossie, pastor, presider. Interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. Friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the church following the committal at the cemetery. Gifts in memory of Heather may be sent to Friends of the Millinocket Memorial Library, 5 Maine Avenue, Millinocket, ME 04462. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
