Obituary

LINCOLN - Constance Jeannine (Roderick) Roy, wife of the late Raymond J. Roy, passed away June 3, 2019. She was born February 10, 1936 in Rumford, daughter of John E. and Eva O. (Samson) Roderick.

While raising her five children she enjoyed spending summers at Roxbury Pond, bowling and playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed many years as an excellent alpine skier having once shredded Tuckerman's Ravine. Connie was an avid sports fan, particularly basketball, attending high school tournaments and U-Maine games. Her passion for sports also led her to be an integral part of Lincoln's Little League and youth football for several years. Once her children were grown, she became an avid bridge player developing numerous life long friends and the status of Gold Masters.

Connie leaves behind four daughters, Cynthia and Jeffery Fogg of Lincoln, Debra Connolly of Colorado, Donna MacDonald and Frank Chiappone of New York, and Sandra and Laurence Smart, III of Lincoln; one son, Douglas Roy of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren, Crystal, Deac, Desiree, Dustin, Shawn, Ian, DJ, Joshua and Rachel; seven great grandchildren, Lance, Kaedryn, Niaomi, Georgia, Frederick, Braxtyn and Emmersyn; two brothers, Gilbert Roderick and Diane of Bangor, and Robert Roderick of Rumford; one brother-in-law Aime Martin of Peru. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Joan Martin.

Per her wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements with Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
