Obituary for William J "Bill" Saturno
Kingman – William J. “Bill” Saturno, 79, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at his home in Kingman. Bill was born August 31, 1942 in Newburgh, New York to Anthony “Tony” and Katy Saturno.
He was a graduate of Washingtonville High School in Washingtonville, New York and Orange County Community College in Middletown, New York. Bill worked at the family business, Saturno’s Hardware Store located in Washingtonville, New York with is brothers Anthony and Carl. In the 1990’s the business transitioned to Village Paint and Hardware. Bill and Bob Marcoux became partners in the restructured business. In 2015 Bill and Bob sold the business and retired. In 2021 Bill and his wife Mona moved permanently to their home in Kingman, Maine.
Bill is survived by his wife Mona of Kingman; a daughter, Stephanie of Friendswood, Texas; his late son’s partner, Jessica Grey of Waterbury, Connecticut; brothers Anthony, John and his wife Gertrude, and Carl and his wife Terry; siblings in law George and his wife Glenna, Jean Lewis, and Karen Price, all residing in New York. Bill is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his son, William D. Saturno, sister in law Carolyn Saturno, and brother in law J.W. “Bill” Price.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the CHCS Home Health and Hospice Services for their care and support of Bill and the family. The family would also like to thank all the churches and the people who kept us in their thoughts, prayers, and hearts.
