Millinocket –William R. “Bill” Boyington, Jr., 62, died Saturday, March 21, 2020 in Portland. He was born June 26, 1957 in Millinocket, the son of William and Barbara (McAvoy) Boyington.

Bill grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns High School. He worked at the mill for over 30 year, and was a member of the Millinocket Elks. Bill loved spending time at his camp at Hurd Pond. Favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, and going on rides with his life long friend, Mike Baron. He also enjoyed playing cards and sitting on his porch, but most especially being a father and grandfather.

Bill is survived by his wife of 22 years, Robin Boyington; two sons, Ryan and Dan; three daughters, Kristen and her boyfriend Ben, Andrea and her husband Josh, and Jenny and her fiancé RJ.; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmy Boyington, Donny Boyington and his wife Dawn, and Dickey Boyington and his wife Kristen; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his mother and grandmother, Myrtle McAvoy.
