BURLINGTON - Willa E (Thurlow) Jipson
passed away at a Bangor hospital on
Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was born
in Burlington on March 20, 1936 to William &
Ruth (Jipson) Thurlow. Willa married
Eugene Jipson of Burlington on May 31,
1973. She was a wonderful cook who
delighted in baking pies and cookies for the
LaBelle-Perkins VFW and The Back
Country Snowmobile Club along with many
family gatherings over the years. Willa also
was an avid hunter and loved going for car
rides and snowmobiling. Willa had one son,
Richard G. Chase that predeceased her in
2018. Willa’s greatest love next to her
husband was for her only son and
granddaughter that she totally adored. She
will be remembered as a loving wife,
stepmother, Nana and friend to all who knew
her. She leaves behind her loving husband
Eugene and his children and their families,
Brenda & Jerry of Lincoln, Barbara & Jim of
Mattawamkeag, Kathy and Greg of Chester,
and Kevin of Missouri. She also leaves
behind her loving granddaughter and her
husband, Brittney & Daniel Lombard and the
future little Lombard, Isaac Richard. She is
survived by her sisters, Dorothy Shorey of
Florida, Claudette Harriman of Lincoln, and
her brothers William of Connecticut, Jerome
of Burlington and a very special sister-in-law
Ruth A Thurlow. She was predeceased by
her parents and a brother, Cornel Thurlow.
She is also survived by many
step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren
and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit with the family  at Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road,
Lincoln on Saturday January 23 from 1-3.  There will be no funeral services at this time.  Spring interment will be at Mt Repose
Cemetery in Burlington.
