Obituary for Wilena "Billie" Fiske
MEDWAY - Wilena "Billie" Fiske, 83, wife of the late Richard Fiske Sr., passed away February 23, 2022, at Millinocket Regional Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born March 30, 1938, in Medway, the daughter of Richard and Lillian (Thompson) Powers.
Billie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with and being around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the time she spent traveling with her sisters and participating in the Medway Area Senior Citizens organization. She was a life-long bookkeeper for her husband's business and an excellent mediator for the six boys that she raised.
Billie is survived by her children, Richard Fiske, Jr. and his wife, Julie, David Fiske, Dale Fiske and his wife, Margaret, all of Medway, Adam Fiske and his wife, Andrea, of West Point, Utah, Chris Fiske and his wife, Lena, and Ben Fiske of Medway; her sister, Colleen Grantham; her brother, Ricky Powers; her brother-in-law, Doug Fiske and his wife, Diane, of Medway; sisters-in-law, Louise Fiske of East Millinocket, and Gloria O'Donal of Winn; brother-in-law, Vernon Hunt of Levant; eight grandchildren, Kristi, Kathy, Jaime, Derek, Sarah, Kevin, Dakota, and Makayla; eight great-grandchildren, Noah, Sam, Grace, Elliot, Janessa, Riley, Izabelle, and Tanner; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years; her parents; her brothers, Jimmy and Pedie Powers; her sisters, Doreen McLaughlin, June Cox, Betsy Ambrose, Emma Ireland, Mildred Stanley, and Janice Hunt; and brothers-in-law, Benjamin N. Fiske, Jr. and William Fiske.
Per Mom's wishes, graveside funeral services will be held on June 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Grindstone Road Cemetery in Medway. In lieu of flowers, donations or gifts may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Boston, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Family and friends may gather at her son Dale's residence at 63 Wilderness Drive in Medway this Saturday, February 26, 2022, between the hours of 3-5 p.m. to reminisce on Billie's life.
