Obituary for Wayne E Bartlett Sr.
Lee –Wayne E. Bartlett, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 3, 2018 at a Lincoln health care facility. He was born July 10, 1931 in Lee, the son off Leslie F. and Althea L. (Spearin) Bartlett.
Wayne enlisted in the US Army in 1952, serving as a guard with the 40th Division, 223rd Medical Company with time spent in Korea. He loved spending time at the family camp on Madagascal. Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed his trips north to Pinkham 49. He was a regular attendee at the Lee Baptist Church.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn A. (Worster) Bartlett; four children, Wayne Bartlett, Jr. and his wife Bonnie, Billy Bartlett and Amy King, Andy Bartlett and his wife Sue, and Christine Bartlett; four grandchildren, Billie Jo Theriault and her husband C.J., Alicia Demers and her husband Kevin, Jennifer Jorgensen and her husband Jay, and Courtney Green; a brother, Kenny Bartlett; a sister Lorraine (“Hope”) MacManus; and several great grandchildren, niece nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, David Bartlett, and a grandson, Ricky Tozier, III.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held 2 P.M. Thursday, December 6 at the Lee Baptist Church, 2870 Lee Road, Lee. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held in the springtime at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lee. Gifts in memory of Wayne may be sent to the Lee Baptist Church, 2870 Lee Road, Lee, ME 04455. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home.
