Obituary for Walter L. Worster
Kingman and Mattawamkeag – Walter L Worster 88, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Colonial Acres Nursing Home with his family by his side.
Walter was born March 3, 1931 in Springfield to Ralph and Isabelle Worster.
He was married to the love of his life, Colleen (Treadwell) Worster for 63 years. He built his home in Kingman and together they raised five children. He was very proud of the little farm he built with his own hands. He worked in the woods with horses for years to take care of his family. Walter always had a joke or a story to tell.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen, and his children: Steve Worster of Mattawamkeag, Pamela Markie of Kingman, Kevin Worster and his wife Brenda of Brighton, Rhonda Ireland and her husband Paul of Lincoln, and Darryl Worster and his wife Gail of Prentiss; five grandchildren: Toby, Adam, Jessi, Katie, and Derek; and two great grandchildren, Natassja and Zayne and one on the way, Sydney; three sisters, Cecile Chesley and husband Lauren, Nellie Stevens and husband Larry, and Inez Osnoe. He was predeceased by siblings Ralphie and Russell Worster, Laura Thompson, Loren Thompson, and Elaine Scott.
There will be a gathering at the Prentiss Church of God at 1 PM Saturday, November 16, 2019 with the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Graveside committal will be at the Butterfield Cemetery.
