Virginia Irene Gordon, 88, went to her eternal rest with Jesus Christ, her savior, Tuesday, April 2, 2019. She was born April 19, 1930, in Medway, the daughter of Everett and Beatrice (Stanley) McLaughlin.
Virginia was a member of the Living Hope Nazarene Church of East Millinocket, the DAV, and the Senior Citizens of Medway. She loved to quilt, knit, sew, reading, fishing and hunting. She was also known for her cooking.
She is survived by three daughters: Donna Gallagher and her husband Ralph, Sharon Goddard, Tammy Michaud and her husband James Sr. She will be missed by her remaining siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two husbands, George Rossignol and Beverly Gordon, siblings: Carl Stanley, Owen McLaughlin, Gloria Lanzara, Myrna Young, as well as two grandsons: James Michaud II, Ralph Gallagher Jr., and a son-in-law Michael Goddard.
A celebration of life will be held at the home of her sister, Sheila McLaughlin, 167 Turnpike Rd. Medway with friends invited to call from 10 AM until 8 PM, Friday, April 5, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Saturday at the Living Hope Nazarene Church with Pastor Allen Archer presiding. The family invites relatives and friends to a reception at the home of Sheila McLaughlin, immediately following the service. A committal service will be announced at a later date.
