Obituary for Theresa Soucy
Theresa (Pelkey) Soucy, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at a Lewiston nursing facility. She was born June 5, 1938 in Millinocket the daughter of, Wilfred and Victoria (Dubey) Pelkey.
Theresa was a devoted Catholic, Mother, and Grandmother. Being one of fifteen siblings, love for family was instilled in her at a very young age. She and her husband Iréné raised five children together in Lincoln. Theresa spent so much of her time caring for others as a CNA. Some of her favorite pastimes were; playing bingo, gardening, putting puzzles together, and going out to eat with family.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, Richard Soucy; brothers, Norman Pellitier, Raymond Pelkey, Dean Pelkey; sisters, Mildred Dicker, Jeanette Pelkey, and Lorena Santerre.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Sweet; three sons, Daniel Soucy Sr., Kenneth Soucy, Jamie Soucy; brothers, Milford Pelkey, Nelson Pelkey, Roger Pelkey, Donald Pelkey, Melvin Pelkey; sisters, Carolyn Dunn, Sylvia Gasiewski, Marlene Gilbert; numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are welcome to visit 6-8 PM Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Monday, July 15, 2019 at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 168 Main Street, Lincoln, immediately followed by interment at the Lincoln Cemetery.
