Obituary for Sherrill A. "Sissy" Plotegher

Danforth – Sherrill A. Plotegher, 65, died unexpectedly Friday, November 4, 2022, in Danforth. She was born July 21, 1957, in Framingham, Massachusetts, the daughter of George A. and Marlene (Burns) Fisher.

Sissy grew up in Millis, Massachusetts and attended schools there. She married Joseph Plotegher in 1975, and raised two boys, Joseph, Jr. and Anthony. Sissy was a stay-at-home Mom and took care of her boys and helped raise several of her nieces and nephews, with whom she was very close. In 2008 she and Joseph moved to Danforth to help Joseph’s father with his farm, until Joseph’s unfortunate death in 2014. Sissy loved spending time with her family, and because she lived with her son Anthony and his family, was able to be very close with his children. Sissy could often be found watching her favorite television shows or watching shows with her grandchildren that their mother might not have allowed them to watch otherwise! Sissy will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by those who knew her best.

In addition to her mother, Marlene Fisher, Sissy is survived by her two sons, Joseph Plotegher, Jr. and his wife Tina, and Anthony Plotegher and his wife Stephanie; four grandchildren, Anthony, Neoma, Ava, and Joseph; siblings Terri Pearson, Debbie Barneke and her husband Bob, and Georgia Sanborn and her husband Scot; a sister in law, Cindy Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband and father.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 10 A.M. – 12 P.M. Saturday, November 19 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth, where funeral services will be held 12 P.M. Interment will be at the Hilltop Cemetery, Danforth.
