Obituary for Sheila J. Smith (McLeod)
Medway – Sheila J. Smith, 73, passed on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Bangor. She was born July 7, 1944 in Bangor to Theodora (DeKalb) and Lester Shipe. She was raised by her mother and step father Kenneth E. McLeod, Sr., who adopted her.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Harry Quick, father of her four children. She was also predeceased by her husband Lawrence Smith, loving step-father of her children.
Sheila is survived by a brother, Kenneth E. McLeod, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Arizona; a sister, Deborah M. Whitmore of Connecticut; her four children, Susan Thompson and her husband Ronald of Grindstone Township, Steven Quick and his wife Angel of Corinna, Sandra MacLeod of East Millinocket, and Theodore Quick of Brewer; eight grandchildren, Maynard III, Robert, Brandon, Steven, Breann, Taylor, Josh, and Jenna; four great grandchildren, Hunter, Miles, Colby, and Dylan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will also be missed by her childhood friend JoAnn Breen of Florida. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
