East Millinocket - Scott Preston Hamm, 67, passed away
unexpectedly at his home with his wife by his side on December
11, 2022. He was born on January 4, 1955 in Lincoln, Maine to
Laura and Edgar Hamm, Sr.
Scott was a member of the Schenck High School class of 1974.
Before his retirement, he worked for many years at American
Eagle Airlines in Bangor.
He was an avid New England sports fan, and enjoyed many years
playing softball with the Hamlet Motel team.
His greatest passion was buying and selling cars. He never met a
car he didn’t like!
Scott is survived by his wife, Nyoka; daughter, Laura Schible and
son-in-law, Zach; his grandchildren that he treasured so much,
Selah, Ellianna and Nathaniel. He is also survived by siblings
Bob Hamm, Ed and Gail Hamm, Jeff Hamm Sr., and Colly
Johnson. Stepchildren, Vaughn and Erin York and Paul and Jen
York; Step-grandchildren, Lane, Drew and Althea York. He will be
deeply missed by his special friend Mike Patten.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Patty Williams; and
brother-in-law, Bruce Johnson.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, December 18 from 12:00
to 1:00 followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 at The
First Congregational Church in East Millinocket.
