Enfield -Russell E Worster Jr., 61, passed away peacefully with his family by his side after his short courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, August 24, 2023. He was born October 19, 1961, in Lincoln, the son of Russell Worster, Sr. and Anna (Briggs) Worster. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Wendy (Linscott) Worster. Together they shared two sons and their wives Ryan and Stacy of Enfield and Dylan and Teri of Lincoln as well as 3 precious granddaughters Adalyn, Maren, and Ali. He is also survived by his siblings Kathy (Worster) Clark, Galen Worster, Barbara (Worster) Jipson. Russ was also fortunate to share his life with a very special mother-in-law Sylvia (Linscott) Walcott and her husband Robert Walcott. Russ had four special brothers-in-law Sterl Linscott, Jamie Smith, Ralph Clark and Rick Jipson and two special sisters-in law Sherry Linscott and Susan (Sieczkiewicz) Linscott; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, also a very special friend Jared Tash. Russ was predeceased by his parents, an infant brother Dale, and his father-in-law Elwyn Linscott.
To know Russ was to love him. A man of laughter and love for his family, he had a contagious smile and laughter that filled up the room. Throughout his lifetime he worked many years in the Maine Forest as a logging professional. He was self-employed and well known and respected in the logging industry. His forever-known legacy would be his desire to be known as an oversized tree removal specialist. His calm and passion outside of work was being a devoted family man. Russ enjoyed long drives and trips to the casino with his wife and often could be spotted around town with his granddaughters. Russ’s biggest accomplishment in life was being called Papa.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 PM Friday, September 1 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 2. Private interment will be at a later date. Messages of condolence may be expressed at Russ’ Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com.
