Obituary for Rose M. Nadeau

Millinocket – Rose M. Nadeau, 90, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at a Bangor assisted living facility. She was born August 18, 1931 in Old Town, the daughter of Noah and Mary (Currier) Pelletier.

Rose was a communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Little Flower Circle. She loved spending time with her husband Rudy at their camp on Schoodic Lake. Not one to sit idle, she loved staying busy, playing cards with friends, making coat hangers, knitting dish cloths, crocheting, volunteering at St. Martin’s Thrift Store, playing slots at the casino, spending time with family, socializing with friends, and was known to make the best peanut butter fudge and potato salad around. Rose was the loving wife of 57 years to her late husband Rudy and the proud mother of their three sons.

Rose is survived by her sons, Mark Nadeau and his wife Lorrie, Paul Nadeau, and Daniel Nadeau and his wife Lori; she will be fondly remembered as Nana to her grandchildren, Brad, Brian, Malorrie, Rebecca, David, Ashley, and Shane; and to her great grandchildren, Lucas, Jacob, Nathan, Felix, Lillian, Eleanor, Avery, Vivien, Loan, and Scarlett; a brother, Lester Pelkey; a sister, Barbara Dupuis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will also be dearly missed by her lifelong neighbors and close friends Colleen Mullis and Juanita Cyr, and by all her card playing lady friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was predeceased by three brothers and seven sisters.

Graveside services will be held in the springtime at Millinocket Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Rose in a special way may make gifts in her memory to St. Martin’s Food Pantry and Fuel Assistance. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
