Obituary for Ronald W. Spencer Sr.

HOWLAND—Ronald W. Spencer Sr., 71, passed away peacefully September 25, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born September 6, 1951 in Lincoln, a son of Howard P. and Rose I. Spencer.
He grew up in Howland and attended PVHS. He proudly served 6 years in the Army National Guard. He was employed at the paper mill in East Millinocket for 42 years. Ronald enjoyed watching TV with his beloved Siamese cat “Muffin” and enjoyed yardsaling, grocery shopping and going out to eat with his wife. A lifelong resident of Howland, Ronald shared 42 years with his wife Ruth E (Gower) Spencer before her death on February 6, 2019.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother Ralph W. Spencer, sister Irene R. Boobar, and sister-in-law Linda J. Spencer.
He is survived by two sisters Charlene “Snookie” Cottle and Mary Hanscom; his three children Sheila A. Avery, Ronald W “Jake” Spencer Jr., and Karen A. McMullin; special friend and “daughter” Diane Richendollar who always referred to him as dad; three grandchildren Domonique M McMullin, Ashley J. McMullin, and Dante P. McMullin.
