Obituary for Roger Ringuette

Lincoln - On April 24, 2021, Roger was called home to God and peacefully left our world. Roger was born December 1, 1942, in Ste. Anne of Madawaska, NB, Canada, to Alphonse and Jeanne (Roy) Ringuette. Roger and his bride Berthe (Tardif) resided in Canada until the birth of their first son in 1963. Roger and Berthe then raised their three boys in Maine and Lawrence, Massachusetts, eventually returning to Maine where he lived and worked until retirement. In his youth he was an avid hunter and brook trout fisherman. For many years, he enjoyed visiting the French Social in Lawrence, attending church, dining out for breakfast, and playing cards- including 45s and Cribbage. He also enjoyed bowling, volunteering at BINGO, and other community events, where he met his current wife, Irene. In his retirement he was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus.

Roger leaves his wife, Irene Windsor, her daughters Joan Gates and Kim McCarthy and their extended family, as well as his three loving sons: Mario and his wife Christine of MA, Paul and his wife Leslie of MA, and Kevin and his wife Rachel of ME. He is survived by his seven adoring grandchildren and their families: Amanda and Patrick Simpson, Robert and Kyle Dennis, Michael and Ashley Ringuette, Julie Ringuette, Alyssa and Christian Collins, Justin Ringuette, and Emily and Joshua Covel. Great grandchildren include: Thomas and Benjamin Simpson, Noah Dennis, Olivia Collins, and two new babies on the way. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Berthe (Tardif) Ringuette, in 2012.

Roger’s loving siblings are: Fernand (Rella), Marthe (Adrien), Soeur Simonne, Therese, Georgette, Rodolphe (Gilberte), Gertrude (Hermel), Laurier (Anna), Dora (Guildo), Jacqueline (Julien), Anne-Marie (Jean-Paul), Jean (Terry), Francoise, Maryse (Daniel), Alan (Teena), and Mariette. Roger is also survived by one aunt, Laurette Roy Ringuette, as well as countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At this time, there will be no services due to international Covid 19 restrictions. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may wish to dedicate a Catholic Mass in Roger’s memory, make a donation to their local food pantry, or raise a toast after sharing a memory with others who knew and loved him.
