Obituary for Robert F. Stanley
Howland – Robert F. Stanley, Sr., 92 died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 26, 1926 in Kingman, the son of Clarence and Jessie (Granville) Stanley.
He was a Naval veteran of World War II, serving in Air and Sea Rescue. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #9429 in West Enfield. Bob retired for Lincoln Pulp and Paper in 1988. He was a member of Composite Lodge #168 A.F. & A.M. in Lagrange for nearly 70 years.
Bob is survived by a son, Robert F. Stanley, Jr. and his wife Linda of Brooksville, Florida, many grand children, great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. He is also survived by a brother, Avon Stanley. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his wife, Elva (Dyer) Stanley, a son, Richard Stanley, and siblings Verna Jackson, Louise Byrd, Clarence Stanley, and Dalton Stanley.
Graveside services with military honors will be held in the spring at the Howland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
