Lee - Robert K. “Bob” Crocker Sr., 85, passed away, Friday, March 12, 2021, at a Bangor hospital. He was born December 12, 1935, in Lee, the son of Harold and Mildred (Drake) Crocker.
Bob grew up in Lee and graduated from Lee Academy. While still in high school he delivered milk with his father before school and for the Town Of Lee picking rocks in the spring of the year. After graduating in 1956 he went to work for Great Northern Paper Company, where he retired as an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor in 1990. While he was working at the mill he also sold motor skis and repaired the snowmobiles out of his garage. The day after he retired from the mill he went to work for Treeline building logging roads and plowing snow. During his retirement he loved to go hunting, fishing, and camping. Also in retirement Bob and the family built a sugarbush in Lee where he enjoyed maple syrup with the family. Bob also enjoyed deep sea fishing in Eastport, and camping out all week at the Fryberg Fair. While raising their children, Bob and Emily learned to square dance, and they loved to take the family camping where the square dances were held.
Bob is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Emily Crocker, a daughter Laura Carroll and her husband Patrick, two sons: Keith Crocker and his wife Leslie, Robert Crocker Jr. and his wife Barbara all of Lee. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and a sister Claire Jipson. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a son Kerry Crocker and a sister Louise Campbell.
