Richard H. "Dick"  Fiske Sr.
Medway – Richard H. “Dick” Fiske, Sr., 81, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, just one week after excavating his last foundation. He loved his construction company (Ben Fiske & Sons) that he owned and operated for nearly 50 years. He was very proud to have completed hundreds if not thousands of “big jobs and little jobs” within the local communities. Dick was very meticulous and took pride in his work and made sure the job was done right the first time. Dick was very well known in the community and was willing to help anyone in need.
Dick was born May 3, 1937 to Benjamin N. Fiske, Sr. and Josephine (Robertson) Fiske. He graduated Valedictorian from Medway High School, class of 1954, and honorably served in the Maine National Guard from 1955-56. Dick was active in his community, serving as a selectman for the town of Medway for 6 years. He also served as Worshipful Master of Pine Tree Lodge #172, A.F. & A.M. in Mattawamkeag. Dick was also a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Anah Temple Shriners of Bangor.
Dick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilena “Billie” Fiske; children Richard Fiske, Jr. and his wife Julie, David Fiske, Dale and his wife Margaret, all of Medway, Adam Fiske and his wife ‘Andrea of West Point, Utah, Chris Fiske and his wife Lena of Medway, and Ben Fiske of Saco; his younger brother, Doug Fiske and his wife Diane of Medway; 8 grandchildren, Kristi, Kathy, Jaime, Derek, Sarah, Kevin, Dakota, and Makayla; 8 great grandchildren, Noah, Sam, Grace, Elliot, Tanner, Janessa, Isabelle, and Riley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and two brothers, Benjamin N. Fiske, Jr. and William A. Fiske.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 P.M. Thursday, May 31 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket, where the Masonic funeral rite will be conducted at 7 P.M. by the officers and members of Pine Tree Lodge #172 in Mattawamkeag. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday, June 1 at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Grindstone Road Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Dick may be sent to the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Boston, 51 Blossom St, Boston, MA 02114.
