Obituary for Richard A. "Dick" Crosby

East Millinocket and Medway –Richard A. “Dick” Crosby, 78, died Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Millinocket, the son of Osburn and Audrey (Whitten) Crosby.
Dick grew up in East Millinocket, and was a graduate of Schenck High School, class of 1962. He worked for the Great Northern Paper Company for 18 years, retiring in 1985. He was a life member of the Bernard Coro Post #22, D.A.V, and Donald Henry Post #80 of the American Legion. Dick enjoyed singing karaoke, hunting, fishing and had a particular affinity for keeping the local constabulary occupied. He was a lively personality who made a lasting impression on those he encountered.
Dick is survived by his companion of 21 years Penny Plummer and her mother, Shirley Lydick; four children, Shean Crosby, Lori Glazier and her husband Andrew, Clayton Crosby, and Lisa Stallsmith and her husband Barry; ten grandchildren, Ashley Butler her husband Anthony,, Lindsay Glazier, Kurt, Benjamin, and Nicole Stallsmith, Andrew Fortin and Kierstan Crosby, Cory and Lindsey Crosby, and Clayton J. Crosby; three great grandchildren, Charles and Adeline Butler, and Nathan Crosby; a sister, Carol Murphy and her husband Charles; a brother, Chester Crosby; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, the mother of his children, Ellen Crosby, and his beloved dog, Taz.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 11 A.M. Monday, September 19 at the East Millinocket Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket. Messages of condolence may be expressed at Dick’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com.
