Obituary for Richard A. Brunette

Millinocket – Richard A. Brunette, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 17, 2109. He was born April 27, 1929 in Millinocket, the son of Camillo and Evelyn (Gallant) Brunette.
Richard grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1949-51. He worked at the Great Northern Paper in Millinocket for 47 years. Richard loved spending time at his camp on South Twin Lake and his home in Millinocket, both of which he built himself. He also loved hunting, and fishing, and will be remembered for his ability and fondness for telling a good story.
He is survived by a son, Dale Boyington and his wife Patty, all of Millinocket; a daughter, Rose Adams and her husband Randy, of Hermon; grandchildren, Dale Boyington, Jr. and his wife Elana, Crystal Brooks and her husband Aaron, and Cassie Rickman and her husband Josh; several great grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Brunette and his wife Dolly of Burlington, Vermont, William Brunette and his wife Marilyn of East Millinocket, David Brunette and his wife Donna of Brunswick, and Michael Brunette and his partner David of Schenectady, New York; a sister, Irene Boynton and her husband Ronnie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Richard was predeceased by his wife, Jennie (Hartley) Brunette, a son, Keith Boyington, two brothers, Vincent and Robert Brunette, and two sisters, Christine Pooler and Gail Monahan.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Katahdin Health Care for the wonderful care and courtesies extended to Richard and his family.
Graveside services will be held 1 P.M. Thursday, June 6 at the Millinocket Cemetery with Herschel Hafford officiating. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
