Rhoda taught Sunday School & Vacation Bible School. She loved going to Prayer Meetings taking the kids right along with her. She also loved Poetry. She wrote many poems having one published.

She is a Lee Academy Alumna. She went on to graduate from Eastern Academy of Beauty Culture and attended the University of Maine at Orono.

Lord Memorial Historical Society & Museum of Burlington holding various Officer positions; Master & other Officer positions of the Escutarsis Grange in Lowell and belonged to the Molunkus Valley Chapter #95, OES in Sherman where she was a lifetime member.
