Ralph "Page"  Shaw
Millinocket – Ralph “Page”Shaw, 88, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at a Bangor hospital. He was born August 25, 1930 in Millinocket, the son of Ralph M. and Laura (Page) Shaw.
Page grew up in Millinocket and was a graduate of Stearns High School, 1949. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a veteran of the Korean War. Page worked at Great Northern Paper Company for 38 years, retiring in 1986. He was a man of strong Christian values, and was a lifelong member at Millinocket Baptist Church where he served in many capacities over the years, most recently as Deacon and Honorary Deacon. Page was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He spent many happy times fishing at Nesowadnehunk Lake, Kidney Pond, and many of the lakes, ponds, and streams of the Katahdin Region, where the trout will now rest just a little easier. Page was an original member of “The Has Beens”, a popular singing group from Millinocket.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Alice L. (Lere) Shaw; four children, Marie Johnson and her husband John of Bangor, Tim Shaw and his wife Colleen of Vermont, Patty Miller and her husband Mike of Trenton, and Paul Shaw and his wife Christine of Vermont; five grandchildren, Christopher,
Alicia, Brian, Jared, and Laura; two great grandchildren, Abbie and Clint; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Page was predeceased by two sisters,
Barbara Elliott and Marion Anderson.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. on Monday, September 10 at the Millinocket Baptist Church, 297 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket, where funeral services will begin at 1 P.M., officiated by the Rev. Tim Bossie, pastor. Interment with military honors will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Page may be sent to the The Memorial Fund at Millinocket Baptist Church, 297 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket, ME 04462. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
