Obituary for Paul Douglas "Brad" Bradbury

Millinocket - Paul Douglas Bradbury (Brad), 64, passed away unexpectedly in his home December 10, 2022. Paul was born February 17, 1958 in Millinocket Regional Hospital to Eileen and Alfred Bradbury.
Paul was in the Navy in his youth and honorably discharged. He then worked as an oil burner man for many years. Paul was well known in the area for his wood carvings that he created everywhere. From trees in the woods to pieces he created at home; his work was always a mystery. “I wonder who carved that” was commonplace in the Millinocket region. He was gifted with the chainsaw and chisel and created many carvings that were sought after. He befriended squirrels and raccoons along with birds, especially hummingbirds. He loved nature and spent most of his time outdoors. Carving and feeding his animals. After a while, squirrels and raccoons would eat right out of his hand.
Paul is survived by his son Brandon Bradbury and his wife Amy; stepson Brent Deschaine and his wife Sarah; and his sister Susan Bradbury Martin. Paul’s grandchildren include Lily, Logan, Riven and Meadow.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Karen Bradbury, parents Eileen (DeWitt) and Alfred (Goodie) and brother Alfred Bradbury Jr. Paul’s wishes were to be cremated and his urn will be buried beside his wife’s ashes in the spring in a family plot in Millinocket.
