Millinocket- Pamela J. York passed away at home on Sunday March 12th, 2023, at the age of 76. She was born in Medway, Maine on November 6th, 1946 to Harold and Ivy Moore.
Pam spent her childhood in Medway with her many brothers and sisters and, once married, moved to a home in Millinocket with her husband where they would remain and raise their family. She loved her home, her kids and a good strong cup of coffee. She would never turn down a quick game of cards or a long visit at the kitchen table with the people she loved. Those who knew her best were aware that though she was sweet and even shy at times, she had a mischievous sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Pam is survived by her 3 daughters, Nikki, Jeannette and her husband Jay, and Dawn and her husband Ben, 4 grandsons, Cody, Dylan, Riley and Tynan as well as siblings Gerry Dewitt, Dawn York and husband Jack, Barbara Hall and husband Gordon, Ida Belle Martin and husband Gilles, Bruce Moore and wife Gwen, Ronnie Moore, Kenny Moore and wife Mary; a brother in law Tony York and his wife, Fran. She was predeceased by her husband Ricky York and brothers Robbie and Harold Moore. Her siblings meant the world to her and she treasured the times they all had, especially the surprisingly rowdy games of Uno with the sisters. Pam also leaves behind many special nieces and nephews as well as the families much loved friend and neighbor, Gerri Anderson.
