Obituary for Nadine Boynton

MILLINOCKET - Nadine F. Boynton, 97, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at home, surrounded by family. She was born May 30, 1922 in Millinocket, the daughter of William and Mary Alice (Hopkins) Simpson. Nadine grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns High School, class of 1939. She married Reginald (Reggie) E. Boynton and together they raised two daughters. She was very well known in the area for her catering and cake making talents. She enjoyed spending time with family and playing cards with friends. She was a member of “The Club Girls”, and a very active member of the Millinocket Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen Tapley and Susan Tower and her husband Ron, grandchildren Heather Tapley, and her boyfriend Mickey, William “BJ” Tapley Jr., and his wife Susan, Meredith Lunny, and her boyfriend Travis, Amanda Dicentes, and her husband Sam. Great-Grandchildren, William III, Devinn, Silas, Keegan, Olivia, and Ryan, sister Jean Nuss, and husband Harry, sister-in-law Marilyn Boynton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, her brothers, Bill and Jack, her sister Mildred, and her son-in-law William Tapley Sr. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. with visitation starting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22nd at the Millinocket Baptist Church, 297 Penobscot Ave. Millinocket, with the Rev. Tim Bossie, pastor, officiating. Interment will be immediately following at the Millinocket Cemetery.
