Obituary for Myron Nelson Ogden

Greenbush – Myron Nelson Ogden, Sr., 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at a Bangor Hospital with his daughter by his side.
He was born June 6, 1925 in Lee, the son of Rose (Nelson) and Lemuel Ogden
Myron began a dedicated and arduous career in the logging industry, starting at the
age of 14 “out in the woods” as a “cookee”. He worked for Alfred Davis in Lincoln for
many years prior to owning his own logging truck, Myron Ogden Sr. Trucking.
He sincerely enjoyed the “trucking” industry and in later years he transported trucks
for Whited Ford, retiring in his early 80’s. He was well known for his work ethic and
willingness to help anyone. Restoring antique cars and trucks brought him much
enjoyment in his later years and he entered them in many parades bringing home the blue ribbon.
Myron leaves his daughter Marlene Ogden; daughter in law, Rose
Ogden, both of Connecticut; four granddaughters: Robin (Mike) Diranian Massachusetts,
Lisa (Mike) Meehan of Connecticut, Penny L Ogden of Massachusetts, and Mandy (Paul Foley)
Ogden of Connecticut; he leaves behind 10 great grand-children
and, due to life experiences, there were also others who fondly called him “Grampie”.
He leaves behind a faithful friend, Faralyn Ogden of Greenbush, good friends Roy &
Janice Mace, Victor & Judy Cyr, and sister-in-law, Sadie Ogden. Myron had many good friends
along Cardville Road including Harold & Greta Stevens.
Myron was pre-deceased by his parents, his brothers; Herbert, Kenneth, Calvin and
Lloyd Ogden; his sons Woodrow (2013), Norman (1948) and Myron Ogden Jr.
(2022).
Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2023. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln. Interment will be at the Lincoln Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be expressed at Myron’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com.
