Obituary for Marlene A. Potter

Drew Plantation – Marlene A. Potter, 90, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at her home. She was born March 13, 1933 in Brookton, the daughter of Halcott and Alice (Irish) Gilman.

Marlene enjoyed crocheting, canning, crafting and working in her flower garden. In her younger years, she liked to go fishing and dancing. For many years, she organized the annual family reunion. Marlene was a strong woman and prided herself on keeping a clean house. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

Marlene is survived by her husband of 34 years, James Potter; six children, Karen Dichello, Lyndell Herrick and his wife Kathy, Eileen Durant, David Herrick and his girlfriend Cindy, Tamarlenea Gilman and her fiance Randy, and Tarry Gilman; a stepson, Bret Potter and his wife June; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by three children, Belinda, Rosalinda, and Sue Ann, and a son in law, Roger Sweeney, a grandson, Tarry Gilman, Jr., and a great great grandson Jordan.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 PM Friday, March 24 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth, where funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 25.
