Obituary for Marilyn Louise King (Blake)

Marilyn “Mallie” (Blake) King, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep April 1, 2019 at Colonial Health Care in Lincoln. She was the last of seven children to be born to Dean and Charlotte (Stevens) Blake on January 7, 1930 in Lincoln. She was beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

“ Mallie” as everyone was told to call her was a very determined and feisty women who let everyone know she meant what she said and it would be her way or the highway. She married her husband, Phillip King on September 15, 1950, where they made their home in West Enfield and raised their family. Mallie attended Lincoln Schools and worked at the West Enfield School cafeteria. Phillip and Mallie ran a successful business known as the King Bros. Trucking and Land Enterprises for more than 60 years. She truly enjoyed being outdoors camping at her cottage on Cold Stream Pond, hanging out with her siblings, going for rides, picking berries, watching deer for hours on any road in Maine. Mallie will forever be loved and remembered by her family.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Phillip King; siblings, Phyllis Kellogg and her husband, Roy, Phillip Blake Sr. and his wife, Edwidge, Rosalie Ryder and her husband, John, Muriel Cummings and her husband, Raymond, Joyce Theriault and her husband, Donald, Malcome Blake and wife, Sally. Brother-in-law Leeman King and his wife, Ruby.

She is survived by son, Blaine King and his wife, Kelly of West Enfield; daughters, Susanne Theriault and her husband, Terrance of Edinburg, Joanne Saucier and her husband, Thomas of Enfield; she was a proud grandmother of, Michaela King and Drew Sprague, Clayton King and Ariel Vanadestine, Meghan King and Storm Zych, Judith King, Corey and Lisa Theriault, Lee and Sabrina Theriault, Danielle and Nick Boobar, Jennifer and Ryan Osgood; Cherished great-grandchildren, Austin, Camren, Bradley, Madyson, Cole, Rylee, Landen, Chase and Camrynn; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Carroll and Edith King, Wayne and Gail King, Mike and Cynthia Whalen; as well as many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank all of Mallie’s caregivers, relatives, and friends for their love and support during her recent illness.

A graveside service will be held 1PM Saturday April 20, 2019 at the West Enfield Cemetery.
