Obituary for Marie M. Daigle

East Millinocket – Marie M. Daigle, 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 25, 2019 at a Millinocket hospital. She was born October 29, 1931 in New Canada Plantation, Maine, the daughter of James and Melvina (Theriault) Douston.
Marie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a homemaker, and took pride in creating a wholesome environment for raising her family. Marie was always very youthful and energetic, even playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always smiling, and loved working with crafts and growing her garden each year. Marie was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, and was a member of St. Ann’s Circle of the Daughters of Isabella. She will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by her family and those who knew her in the community.
Marie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Alton N. Daigle of East Millinocket; three children, Peggy Plenzio and her husband Mark; Karen Wyman and her husband Jeffrey; and Laurie Vieira; and Michael Daigle and his wife Rochelle; eight grandchildren, Stacey DiGiovanni, Anthony Plenzio, Lindsay Ropiak, David Wyman, Jonathan Wyman, Erik Plenzio, Tyler Plenzio, and Noelle Daigle; nine great grandchildren, Valentina DiGiovanni, Noah, Kai, and Julian Ropiak, Serenity, Arianna, and Raelynn Wyman, and Christian and Audrey Wyman; two sisters, Adrienne Daigle and Mary Ann Albert; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by an infant son, David Alton Daigle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 58 Cedar Street, East Millinocket with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the hour preceding the mass in the narthex of the church. Gifts in memory of Marie may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Associaton, 383 US Route One #2C,
