When he returned, they were married at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Oakland, California, on November 20, 1954. They drove along Route 66 on their honeymoon on the way to Wisconsin. After a time with family there, they made their way back to Richard’s hometown of East Millinocket, Maine, where they settled and raised their four children. Lori worked at the hospital in Millinocket, and in East Millinocket in Dr. Irvin Hamlin’s office and as town nurse in addition to the first aid room at the Great Northern Paper Company. She and Richard retired in 1987 and after a few years moved to Sacramento, California. Richard passed away in 1995, and Lori moved back to Maine in 1998 and lived there until her passing.
