Obituary for Linwood E. "Teewee" Walsh

Millinocket – Linwood E. “Teewee” Walsh, 87, died Thursday, June 20, 2019 at his home, surrounded by those he loved. He was born July 17, 1931 in Millinocket, the son of James W. and Beatrice D. (Brown) Walsh.
Linwood grew up in Millinocket, and attended schools in town. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was discharged in 1954. Following his time in the service, Linwood returned to Millinocket and worked at the Great Northern Paper Company, from where he retired in 1987 with 38 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and enjoyed woodworking and making things with his hands. He was especially proud of the camp he built at Cedar Lake and loved spending time there. He was able to pass that on to his children who continue to enjoy it. Linwood was a lifelong member of the Francis E. Elliott Post #4154, V.F.W. in Millinocket. He will be remembered and missed by those who knew him.
Linwood is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley M. (Thibodeau) Walsh; a daughter, Lynn Cox and her husband Tony; a step son, Jon Thibodeau and his wife Yuanzhu; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Linwood was predeceased by four brothers.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held 11 A.M. Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Linwood may be sent to the CHCS Hospice Program, Enfield Road, Lincoln, ME 04457. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
