Obituary

Danforth – Levi C. Lee, 94, died Monday, September 14, 2020 at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 4, 1926 in Danforth, the son of Roy D. and Lexie F. (Muncey) Lee.
Levi grew up in Danforth, and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Levi worked as a woodsman for his working years. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and fisherman, and working in his garden. In the springtime he always went picking fiddleheads, and taught his nieces and nephews how to pick and where the best spots were. Spending time with his family was always important to him, and he loved holidays and get togethers involving spending time together with them. Levi was a gifted game player, with Cribbage and Pitch, or Setback, being his favorites. He had a large extended family, but he always thought of them all as his immediate family.
Levi is survived by four siblings, Lola Spinney of Lincoln, Roy Lee and his wife Della of Winn, Audrey Hall of San Diego, California, and Darrell Lee of Danforth; two step daughters, Cheryl Mansu and her husband John of California, and Brenda (Phelps) Wallace of Rhode Island, ; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Lula, a son, Terry Lee, and two step daughters, Linda Shaw and Lillian White., and siblings Brydon “Brydie” Lee, Violet “Mickey” Shaw, Delmont “Delly” Lee, Gladys Cropley, Norman “Eli” Lee, Leone Cropley, Una Cropley, and Larry Lee.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-2 PM Saturday, September 19 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. Private graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Danforth, at a later date.
