Enfield – Keith McElroy, 75, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Penobscot Valley Hospital with family by his side. Keith was born July 1, 1946 in Lincoln. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at West Lake hunting, fishing, and was an avid card shark. He worked at Great Northern Paper for 43 years. Keith was predeceased by his parents Mack and Lois McElroy, brothers Francis and George Whitney and father in law Richard Thompson, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vanessa; daughter Jodi Vanadestine and husband Michael; daughter BJ Mathewson and husband Guy; grandchildren Ariel King and husband Clayton, Rachel Vanadestine and fiance Sam; Kate Vanadestine, Isaac Mathewson, and Leah Mathewson; siblings Joyce Thibodeau, Dianne Pelletier, Mary Ann Whitney, Gary Bickford, and Sally Kelley; mother in law Patricia Thompson and her family Ricky, Diane, Jean Kelly, Carol and multiple nieces and nephews. Keith was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. In accordance with Keith’s wishes, he was cremated and services are private.
