Obituary for Kathryn Vose Wilson

LINCOLN- Kathryn Vose Wilson, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 28, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born in Lincoln, Maine on January 20, 1959, the beloved daughter of James and Tena Vose.
Kathy graduated from Mattanawcook Academy, a much loved member of the class of 1977. Kathy furthered her studies at Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica, California. Upon returning home to Lincoln, she joined her father in the family business, J.K. Vose Jewlers. Kathy’s smile and knack for finding the perfect piece of jewelry quickly became a cherished part of downtown Lincoln as well as her beautifully designed holiday window displays that were beyond magical. Kathy loved having friends stop in the store to say hello and to catch up on life whenever they returned “home”. Kathy touched the lives of so many people through her unlimited acts of kindness, caring and generosity.
Kathryn was predeceased by her mother, Esteena Hanning Britton Vose; father, James Arnold Vose and her brother; Sterling Leo Britton.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jesse Wilson. She loved being an aunt to John Britton, James Britton, Barbie Britton, Lindsey Britton, Philip Pelkey, Brent Britton, Lisa (Britton) Brown, Suezanne (Britton) McElvain, Amber Agner, and Nikki Rowe. Kathy adored her great nieces and nephews and was known as Aunt Kathy to many other lucky children whom she loved as her own. Kathy also leaves behind many close friends, including her two besties, Susie Haynes Griffin and Nora Weatherbee.
Some of her favorite times were those spent exploring the antique stores on the Maine coast and her and Jesse’s many years of travel to her beloved Key West.
Friends are invited to call 1 PM Sunday February 3, 2019 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where a service of remembrance will be held at 2 PM. Those who would like to make gifts in Kathy’s memory can make donations to House in The Woods, 217 Skunk Hill Road, Lee, ME, 04455, a veterans retreat.
