Obituary for Kathryn N. Tait (Ireland)
Lincoln – Kathryn N. (Ireland) Tait, 94, wife of the late George A. Tait, died Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at a Lincoln hospital. She was born April 6, 1926 in Lincoln, the daughter of Grover E. and Viena M. (Staples) Ireland.
Kathryn was a lifelong resident of Lincoln. She attended the Lincoln Center Baptist Church, and also the Community Evangel Temple. She loved reading her Bible, spending time with her grandchildren, playing card games, and going out to breakfast at the Timberhouse Restaurant.
Kathryn is survived by two children, Sheila Jordan and her husband Sterling, and Valerie Ferguson and her husband Bruce; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; a very special sister, Viena (Ireland) Godbyr; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. In addition to her husband and her parents, Kathryn was predeceased by two children, Paulette Rich and Bruce Tait, and two sisters, Lois (Ireland ) Olsen and Betty (Ireland) Savage.
Graveside services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, October 31 at the Lincoln Center Cemetery, Route 2, North Lincoln with the Rev. William Chesley officiating. Gifts in memory of Kathryn may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island #300, Topsham, ME 04086. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
