Obituary for Katherine B. "Kate" McKinnon
Brookton – Katherine B. McKinnon, 62, died Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her home. She was born July 21, 1958 in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Donald and Blanche (Nason) McKinnon.
Kate will be remembered as a loving and giving person in all that she did, from her service to the country to her work in the medical field. She could light up a room with her warm smile and pleasant disposition. She was always willing to give what she had to anyone that needed help. Kate will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother, Blanche McKinnon, Kate is survived by four siblings, Donna Delo, Bonnie Calkins, Charissa Hagerty, and Donald McKinnon; a very close nephew, Kaleb Hagerty; a special friend, Gary Houde; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom were known as “Kate Jr.’s”, cousins, and friends. Kate was predeceased by her father.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-6 PM Monday, February 15 at the Brookton Pentecostal Church, 575 U.S. Highway 1, Brookton, where funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2021 with the Rev. Frank Godley, pastor, officiating. Funeral services will be livestreamed and may be viewed, and messages of condolence expressed, Kate’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com.
