Obituary for Katherine M. "Kay" Bouchard

Millinocket – Katherine M. “Kay” Bouchard, 98, wife of the late Clifford Bouchard, Sr., died Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Cummings Health Care in Howland. She was born June 15, 1924 in Millinocket, the daughter of Herbert and Mabel C. (Nadeau) Dionne-Young, Sr.
Kay worked 23 years as a Constable and Crossing Guard. She loved her job and watching the children grow into adults. Kay also loved to dance, watch the Red Sox play, and spend summers at Smith Pond with her family. She used to knit, crochet and sew, as well as enjoying many other crafts.
Kay is survived by two sons, Clifford Bouchard, Jr. and Leo Bouchard and his wife Betty Lee; two daughters, Betty Ann Baker and significant other Bruce Jones, and Mary Bouchard; grandchildren Sherri Pelletier and husband Wayne, Terry Baker, Jeffrey Baker, Laura Morin and husband Ronnie, Scott Bouchard and wife Amy, Mellissa Bouchard, and Matthew Bouchard; nine great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; a brother, Herbert “Sonny” Young, Jr; a sister in law, Mary Young; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to the love of her life, Clifford, Sr., Kay was predeceased by siblings Hattie, Isabel, Robert, Nadine, and Francis, and a daughter in law, Martha Bouchard.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the employees at Cummings Health Care for the love and care given to Kay.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 PM Sunday, July 31 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 PM Monday, August 1 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket with the Rev. Dominic Savio, pastor, presider. Interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed and may be viewed, and messages of condolence expressed, at Kay’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com.
