Karen Brown Bradbury
April 30, 1955 – May 12, 2020
“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.
But always near,
So loved, so missed, so very dear.”
Millinocket - On May 12, 2020, we unexpectedly lost a beautiful lady, Karen Brown Bradbury at age 65. Karen was born April 30th, 1955 at Millinocket Regional Hospital, the daughter of Loren and Evelyn Brown. To know her was to love her and though she was a private person, she brought such joy to those around her.
Karen was a graduate of Stearns High School and went on to work in many capacities. She particularly enjoyed her time employed by the state and local school system. Karen was exceptionally creative and spent much of her time crafting wooden gifts for her family and friends. She had a special love of marigolds and could often be found designing whimsical gardens with them. Karen had
a genuinely giving nature and was always looking for ways to show others that they were loved. This was evident when she proudly hosted her parents 25th and 40th wedding anniversaries. Above all, her greatest joy was her grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.
Karen is survived by her parents, Loren and Evelyn, as well as her loving and devoted husband, Paul Bradbury. Paul and Karen would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this June. Along with her parents and husband, Karen is survived by her two sons, Brandon Bradbury and his fiancé Amy Chase, Brent Deschaine and his fiancé Sarah Leture; precious grandchildren Lily, Logan, Riven, Meadow and Dax; siblings Diana and her husband Steve Kenyon, Eileen and her husband Larry Surrette, all of Millinocket, Doug and his wife Gloria Brown of Searsport and Matt and his wife Charlotte Brown of North Waterboro, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A private family service will be held at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions.
