Obituary for Judith Ann Wilson (Carlow)

Lincoln - Judith (Judy) A. (Carlow) Wilson passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on November 8th, 2020. She was born on August 11th, 1939 to Madeline Carlow Lowell White and John MacDonnell. Judy was raised by her grandparents Gladys (Grass) and Lester Carlow of Lincoln.
Judy was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy, class of 1957. On February 22, 1958 she married Durwood Clayton Wilson and together they resided in Lincoln for most of their married life. Judy retired from Shop n’ Save after 25 years, she was an active member of the Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for several years. Judy was often referred to as one of the matriarchs of her family and enjoyed gatherings at camp with family and friends, playing cards, and bingo.
Judy is survived by her husband Durwood of 62 years and their four children; James and his wife Denna of Windham, Jeffrey and his wife Linda of Westbrook, Julie and her partner Bill of Saco, and Timothy and his wife Ruta of Frankfort. Grandchildren Ryan, Ashley, Randal, Amanda, Jacob, Nicholas, Danielle, Reed, Hunter, Joshua, and Joanna. Great-grandchildren Violette, Brady, Payton, Carter, Aidan, Noah, Connor, and Kinley. Siblings Robert, Lester “Stubby”, and Linwood Carlow, Merrill “Dana”, Klein “Kim”, and Charles Lowell. Judy is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and grandparents Judy was predeceased by her brothers; Lawrence, Richard, Vinyl, Alvin, Leonard, Clifton “Kippy”, and Roger Carlow, Lester and Lloyd Lowell and sisters; Leone Elliott, Cynthia Millett, Linda Head and Laura Lee Lowell.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 PM Friday, November 13 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 14. Pandemic guidelines will be observed.
