Obituary for John Wayne Furlotte

East Millinocket - John Wayne Furlotte, 69, died Tuesday, April 29, 2020 at his home. He was born March 10, 1951 in Millinocket, the son of John Delcie and Ruth (Fiske) Furlotte.

John graduated from Schenck High School, class of 1969. He went to work for Great Northern Paper Company right after graduation and worked for over 40 yrs at the East Millinocket mill, ending his career as a millwright.

John was a proud and active member of Freemasonry for nearly 50 yrs. He was a Past Master and held many different offices in Nollesemic Lodge of Millinocket, Pine Tree Lodge of Mattawamkeag, and Anah Temple Shrine in Bangor, receiving several honors in these fraternal orders. John was also an avid reader. He enjoyed all types of books, but his favorites were the Holy Bible and military history.

John is survived by his daughter Jo Wilson; son-in-law: Mark Wilson; a granddaughter Kaiisha Pluard; a grandson: Ashton Pluard; sisters Patricia Farrington of Medway and Mary Furlotte of East Millinocket. He is also survivied by three generations of nieces and nephews.

John is predeceased by his parents and older brother, Gary (Buster) Furlotte and sister-in-law Joan Furlotte. Burial with a Masonic service will be held at the Grindstone Cemetery in Medway, to be announced at a later date, after corona virus restrictions have been eased. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home.
