Lincoln – Joanne M. Chase-Smart, 86, died Saturday, March 21, 2020, after a long hard fought battle, at her home. She was born March 11, 1934 in Portland, the daughter of Raphael and Ruby J. (Durell) St. Pierre.

Joanne was a graduate of Winterport High School, class of 1953. She rode her snowmobile until she was 80 years old! Joanne loved going for boat rides and having her children around her. Her favorite saying was, which she often said to everyone, “I Love You More!”

She is survived by three children, Bruce Bowden, Jr., Deborah Morang and her husband Dennis, and Darren Bowden; six grandchildren, Ericson Estes, Melinda Bowden, Christina Colburn, Brooke Bowden, Erica Bowden, and Wendy Bowden; six great grandchildren; and a special brother in law, Stanley Bowden.

Dear Family,
I Knew Joanne when she and Russell used to come to camp at Junior Lake. We had the camp next door and they used to always stop over to say "HI" when they were down. She was a very nice lady and I used to see her a lot and we'd talk about camp when she shopped at Hannaford, where I worked. Sending my sincerest condolences to you all. May she rest in peace now.
