Obituary for Jeannette Marie Crosby (Brooks)
Jeannette Marie Crosby (Brooks) 81, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family where she had lived with her youngest daughter, Lila and her husband, David Larrivee in Steep Falls, since 2017. Jeannette also leaves behind her daughter Donna and her husband, Adam Bendiksen, of Westbrook, and her son Mark Crosby of East Millinocket. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kyle, Anthony, Nathan, Nicholas, Deziree, Elora and great grandsons Mason and Tristan. Jeannette was predeceased by her parents, Eli and Laura (Belanger) Brooks, her husband, Donald Crosby, her son Wayne Crosby, an infant daughter, Andrea and great grand daughter, Natalie.
Jeannette was born April 3, 1941 in Island Falls, ME. She graduated from Island Falls High School in 1959 in a class of just 13 students. Jeannette and Donald were married for 48 years until his death in 2010. Jeannette worked at Millinocket Hospital for many years. She enjoyed and was quite good at bowling and playing pool. She was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox, rarely missing a ballgame. She also enjoyed watching Nascar.
A viewing will held at Lamson Funeral Home in Millinocket on Saturday November 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by burial in East Millinocket Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be expressed at Jeanette’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com.
