Obituary for Jean C. Cruciani (Holts)

Lincoln – Jean Carolyn (Holts) Cruciani, 83, departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2021 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity. She was a resident of Colonial Health Care for the past 3 years, Jean was born May 24, 1937 in Perham, the daughter of Norman and Helen (Fuller) Holts.

Jean received her education in the towns of Perham and Washburn and is a graduate of the Aroostook State Teacher’s College (now UMPI), class of 1959. She taught school in Fort Fairfield, Caribou, and Lincoln for 35 years. Jean was an avid birder, and could recognize each kind and their song, a talent she learned from her mother. She was a member of the Maine Audubon Society fo several years and enjoyed many Maine Coast trips as well as adventures down old dirt roads. Jean was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church of Lincoln where she participated and assisted with the Ladies Missionary Society, Sunday School, Junior Church, and nursery as well as opening her home to Bible Study time for those who were interested in learning from the Bible.

Jean is survived by her husband of 57 years, Francis Cruciani; their daughter Caramia Fisher of Bandon. Oregon; grandchildren Devon Kuhfal and Andrew Kuhfal of North Dakota, and Kaitlyn Kuhfal and Emily Kuhfal of Oregon; a sister-in-law Patricia Smith; nieces Susan Smith and Marcia Hurn of Florida, Kathleen Bearce of Bangor, Karen Brown of South Gardiner, Cheryl King of Augusta, and Jane Wood of Kenduskeag; several cousins from Caribou to North Carolina; and many close friends. In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by a brother, A.J. Holts.

Graveside services will be held in the springtime at Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
