Obituary for Helen I. Merrill (Murphy)
Winn – Helen Irene Merrill, 86, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at a Dover Foxcroft health care facility. She was born December 7, 1932 in Berlin, New Hampshire, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Bass) Murphy.
Helen enjoyed fishing, camping, yard sales, Bingo, dancing, and eating out at Governor’s Restaurant. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by five children, Bruce Merrill and his wife Sally of Chester, Chris Merrill and his wife Dawn of Guilford, Robert Merrill of Bangor, Carol Osnoe of Sidney, and Sarah Merrill and her husband Armand Gagnon of Meriden, Connecticut; nine grandchildren, Christal Merrill, Steven Osnoe, Joey Osnoe, Michelle Butler, Bruce Merrill, Jr., Stephanie Merrill, Michelle Merrill, Micheal Merrill, and Lisa Rideout; step grandchildren, Diana Keyser, and Billy and Jimmy Edgerly; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, George Merrill, a brother Patrick Murphy, and five stillborn children.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 PM Thursday, September 26, and 6-8 P.M. Friday, September 27, at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Monday, September 30. Interment will be at the East Winn Cemetery, Winn.
