Obituary for Guillermina "Mina" Speed

MILLINOCKET - Guillermina (Zúñiga) Speed, 98, of Millinocket, fondly known as 'Mina" by her family and friends, passed away after a brief illness on 02/26/2023. She was born on August 31, 1924 in San Marcos, Costa Rica.
Guillermina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as a seamstress, in a jewelry store and many years at Millinocket Insurance Agency. She was predeceased by her husband Robert E. C. Speed, prominent businessman in Millinocket and owner of Millinocket Insurance Agency and numerous brothers and sisters in Costa Rica.
She is survived by her siblings Teresita Zúñiga Umaña of Seattle, WA. ; Jesús Zúñiga Umaña; Deifilio Zúñiga Umaña; Deyanira Zúñiga de Sánchez all from Costa Rica; her sons Robert Speed and his wife Lori (King) of Millinocket and Frank Speed and his wife Lisa (McIntyre) of Winterport; her grandsons Michael Speed of Millinocket; Kurt T. Speed and his wife Kaziah (Conrad) of Grove City,OH. ; her granddaughters Jessica (Speed) and her husband Nicholas
Squillante - their children Alcina and Cason Squillante of Levant; Breanna (Speed) and her husband Nathaniel Dorman - their children Aliyah, Zoe and Amia Dorman of Levant, also her first child Isabella Rose Lee and her father Robert E. Lee of Hermon; Misha Speed and her partner Travis Dickey of Augusta; Holly (Speed) Parkhurst and her husband Joshua of Old Town; Kierra (Speed) McGarvey and her husband Joseph and their son Luca of Keene, NH. ; Lilani Speed of Winterport.
At Guillermina's request, there will be a mass at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in the spring and then she will be laid to rest in the family plot at the Millinocket Cemetery along side her husband.
